Not many sights as beautiful as Mt Rainier (or as we locals refer to it “The Mountain”) on a clear day in Washington. I took this not too far away from our neighborhood:

We went to a roller skating party last night sponsored by Lexi’s school. It was at the same rink I used to go to when I was still in grade school – Pattison’s West….ahh the memories.
Daddy helping Lexi with her skates…and even Cole joined in on the fun!

Cole & Daddy…and of course, the Hokey Pokey!

In case you’re wondering…yes, I did skate too but I was better equipped to handle the camera and skate at the same time.
Here’s a picture Craig took of me from the sidelines as I did the hokey pokey:

Marie & Gerd came for a visit the other day…after having lunch, Craig and Gerd went outside to try and fly kites with the kids.
Gerd helping out Cole & Cole trying a running start:

Lexi gave up and sat with Marie, warming her feet in Marie’ kanga pockets:

Overall, a fairly fun afternoon!

We tried a new park today…east of Enumclaw, called Mud Mountain. There were 3 different play sets, a wading pool with fountain (which unfortunately was not open) and a View point over looking the river and the backside of the dam. We had a picnic and the kids ran around for a couple hours, enjoying the unseasonably warm weather.

We had some nice weather today…unusual considering it is officially Fall and we had a not-so-hot-summer. But (after the birthday party in the morning) we were able to take advantage of the perfectly nice 70 degree weather to spend some time outside in the backyard.
The kids helped Craig deflate the slide portion of their pool (not a fun job, but they enjoyed it):

Craig bought the kids some monster finger puppets. Just as a little fun, treat. The funny thing is he bought 4 different ones, not thinking anything of it. Do you think they could agree on who would get which ones? Oh no, MAJOR drama. Craig ended up going back the next day to buy 4 more.
HILARIOUS.

And fun with the monsters and black light

New playhouse for the kids….it took some time before Cole would let Lexi in and share the house, but he finally let her in after many, loud protests.

We (of course) went to the fair with Andre, Karissa, Margeaux, Paolo & Courtney…it was the perfect day for it – sunny and in the high 70’s (too perfect because there were a TON of people there – but still fun). I was a little tentative because after going last year I woke up the next morning with en eye ulcer – yes, crazy! No animal petting for Maia this year!
The kids had a blast on the rides. Here are some pictures.
